Former Test cricketer and commentator Michael Slater is accused of assaulting a man in a Sydney hospital.
The 52-year-old will face Manly Local Court after police issued a court attendance notice for common assault last month.
He allegedly assaulted a 36-year-old man at the Northern Beaches Hospital on July 18.
Slater was in the same court earlier this year when domestic violence charges were dismissed on the condition he underwent treatment.
The Wagga Wagga-born cricketer played 74 Tests for Australia, hitting 5312 runs at an average of 42.8.
